This is a referral website
Hills District Roofers is a lead referral website, not a building company. We do not employ roofers and we do not carry out roofing work ourselves.
When you make an enquiry through this site or call (02) 9100 0388, your details are passed to an established, licensed and insured local roofing contractor who works in the Hills District, and that contractor contacts you to arrange the free inspection and provide a quote.
Any contract for roofing work is between you and that contractor. They are responsible for the work, the quote, the written contract, the warranty and the insurance that attaches to it.
What that means for you in practice
- The inspection and quote are free and carry no obligation. You are not committed to anything by enquiring.
- The contractor is licensed and insured. In NSW, residential building work over $5,000 in labour and materials must be carried out under a Fair Trading licence and under a written contract. Work over $20,000 carries Home Building Compensation cover. You are entitled to see the licence details and the contract before work begins, and you should ask for them.
- The workmanship warranty is given by the contractor who completes the work, in writing.
- Your statutory rights are unaffected. Australian Consumer Law and the NSW Home Building Act apply to the work regardless of how you found the contractor.
Your information
Details submitted through the quote form on this site are used for one purpose: to arrange and quote the roofing work you have asked about. They are passed to the contractor who will contact you. They are not sold, and they are not added to a marketing list.
Accuracy of information on this site
The material on these pages is general information about roofing, local housing stock and the conditions roofs face in this area. It is written to be accurate and useful, but it is not a professional assessment of your particular roof, and it is not planning, legal, engineering or insurance advice.
Specifically:
- Councils and approvals. Most of the district sits in The Hills Shire, while Cherrybrook, West Pennant Hills, Galston and Middle Dural are in Hornsby Shire, and some suburbs straddle the boundary. A like-for-like roof replacement is normally treated as maintenance rather than development, but heritage listing, bushfire-prone land and changes to roof form can alter that. Your section 10.7 planning certificate and your council are the authorities on what applies to your property.
- Bushfire-prone land. Where we describe parts of this area as frequently mapped as bushfire prone, that is a general description of the mapping, not a determination about your block. We are not bushfire assessors and we do not issue BAL certificates.
- No pricing. No dollar figures are quoted anywhere on this site, because a genuine roofing price requires someone on the roof. What a roof costs depends on size, pitch, material, access and how far any damage has spread.
No reviews or ratings are published here
This site does not display customer reviews, star ratings or testimonials, because there is no verified review profile behind it yet. We would rather show nothing than publish something unverifiable.
